Roof Chop Split

Post by Ady77 » Mon Oct 01, 2007 8:32 pm

Hello,

I am about to do a roof chop on a split.....dont worry the roof in rotten so it has to come off anyway.
The question is does anyone have any links or pics on roof chop splits...pics or info would be great.
Cheers

This was at vanfest sometime in the early 90's. I bought this bus about 3 years ago for the grand sum of £150 (no fuch's on it), took some bits off that I wanted and then swapped it for a pair of mint front doors for my bus. The guy I did the swap with still has it. Someone at Volksheaven had something to do with its creation I believe.

I love seeing pics of buses like this, do you have any pics from when you owned it? Just curious what it looked like 3 years ago?

I'll see the guy who's got it tomorrow night at our club meet. I'll see if I can get some pics of it in it's present state. And when I say state thats exactly what is is 8O. It is so rusty even I wouldn't waste my time doing anything with it. The front doors don't fit very well probably due to one of them opening at 50mph 8O 8O (so I was told).
Where the gutters have been removed had all bubbled out so I would say you could almost lift the roof off without cutting anything. Theres no engine and its on steelies and flat tyres. I have the headlamps and the steering wheel out of it on my bus. This is the steering wheel only it was painted with a metallic blue rim and silver spokes.
